Sažetak
Introduction: In Croatia there are 13 laboratories for interventional cardiology, of which 11 are involved in a well-organized Croatian network for pPCI. 300, 000 residents of western Slavonia are not covered by this network, even though there is cath lab in Slavonski Brod since 2003. Objective and Methods: The authors wish to show the problems of organizing the network ofpPCI , to show the number of patients treated with single laboratories in Croatia, with the amount of money they receive from goverment for this work, to emphasize geografical specificity of western Slavonia, organizing principles on which we organize our network of pPCI , to review results of our cath lab and what we have done in developing the network. Conclusions: Patients with STEMI in western Slavonia can be properly treated with pPCI only in the catheterization laboratory in Slavonski Brod and we seek entry into the Croatian network of pPCI.
