Sažetak
Textile reinforced composites have recently gained great interest in many areas due to low production costs and high quality characteristics. Fiber mats, braided, woven, warp and weft knitted fabrics are used as reinforcing structures and thus as an important part of composite structures. In this paper, mechanical and thermal properties of multilayer reinforced weft-knitted fabrics and related composite plates have been investigated by using different testing methods. Futhermore, the air permeability of tested fabrics has been determined and scanning electron microscopy analysis has been taken to monitor the related composite plates.
