Sažetak
Complex hand injuries involve damage to skin and underlying tissues including muscles, tendon sheaths, tendons, nerves, blood vessels, joints, ligaments and bone. These injuries present the surgeon with a difficult task to restore as much function and appearance as possible using the complete armentarium available to a plastic surgeon. Every case is unique and there are no preset operations to follow as will be shown through clinical cases in our presentation. The surgery of these injuries must be performed by a plastic surgical team experienced in treating hand trauma and versed in all reconstructive procedures available in modern plastic surgery. A well equipped facility with experienced staff and specialised rehabilitation program are also necessary for a satisfactory outcome.
