Sažetak
Globalization and cosmopolis are terms commonly used not just in contemporary academic debates, but also in everyday life. This essay will try to determine the relation between them through the research of the doctrine of cosmopolis, first formulated in the Stoic philosophical school. By explaining the development of the doctrine, how it evolved from Hellenic to Roman period, we will see what ideas it produced, and how they changed the view we have of the world today.
