Sažetak
English for Civil Engineers is a textbook for students attending Undergraduate Professional Study Programme in Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic of Zagreb, at intermediate and upper-intermediate level of linguistic competence. It is also intended for civil engineering professionals who are eager to expand their vocabulary range and improve their reading skills. The textbook covers various topical issues structured in 21 Units, and 3 Case Studies from the field of civil engineering, such as environmental engineering, materials science, transportation, earthquake engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, and many others. It also covers business English matters to an extent that is necessary for the learners. The Glossary covers about 500 key technical terms in English with Croatian equvalents, as well as explanations of the compounds that appear in the articles. The Key is attached at the end of the book. The textbook is intended for classroom and / or selfstudy use.
