Sažetak
The risk for MCI is increasing worldwide because of the increase of human population, traveling, transportation of hazardous materials, natural disasters and global terrorism. Vulnerability of health - care system to MCI is increasing because of small reserve capacity, increasing specialisation and dependence on high technology. Most common mistakes during MCI is that communication and coordination are not prepared and trained. Medical response to MCI is a chain of many components: prehospital response, transport, hospital response, communication, coordination and command. Effective, realistic training and evaluation of medical response can be done with use of advance simulation models. MRMI is a ESTES postgraduate course where we use MACSIM simulation model and train different functions together. During last decades many changes has been occurred in Combat Medicine. TCCC is widely adopted doctrine, used by all western Army Forces. Differences between civilian and military protocols for casualty care is increasing. TCCC doctrine recognizes a particulary important principle: performing the correct intervention at the correct time in the continuum of the field care. A medically correct intervention at the wrong time in combat may lead to further casualties.
