Sažetak
The board is an important internal mechanism of corporate governance. Due to its specific position within the corporate structure it is a sort of mediator between the shareholders and management. This paper analyses the characteristics of Croatian supervisory boards: the structure of the board and its demographic characteristics. It is set to identify who sits on the supervisory boards of Croatian public companies, i.e. identify its composition, analyze who were they appointed by and who do they represent.
