Sažetak
Although legislation in the Republic of Croatia is in favor of educational integration for the last 18 years, there is still a number of difficulties in integration practice, mostly due to the lack of even most elementary premises for its successful realisation. The project Evaluation of the Programme of Education of Teachers for the Acceptance of Pupils with Special Needs has been initiated to state whether and to what extent the attitudes of teachers toward pupils with special needs can be altered, if there are changes in the level of perceived professional competence of teachers and the level of social and personal adaptation of students with delayed cognitive development, due to the application of an experimental programme of teachers education. In this paper the initial results has been discused.
