Sažetak
Towards the end of 1994 Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Croatia assigned the development of the PROHES project to the Energy Institute "Hrvoje Požar". During the visit of IAEA experts in Republic of Croatia in 1994, with Dr. Albrecht Reuter has been decided the conception and possibilities of international support in the energy system planning field. At that time the project Management of the Energy Sector Policy Planning in Croatia (MESPO) has defined, that cover the important part of PROHES. The TC Project had its official indication Energy and Nuclear Power Planning Study CRO/0/002 and had duration for period 1997/1998. Its main objective is to enhance the local capabilities for energy, electricity and nuclear power planning by creating a core team of experts who would be able to conduct this type of study under varying economic and technological development scenarios. In order to achieve this objective, an integrated energy/electricity planning study is being conducted by a group of national experts using the IAEA planning models. The national team is composed of experts from the principal Croatian agencies involved in energy and electricity planning for the country. The team includes all Croatian experts who have been trained in the use of the IAEA planning models (MAED, WASP, ENPEP, etc.) through their participation in training courses organized by the Agency.
The main intention of the TC project was to make some modules of the program package ENPEP the basic, comprehensively integrated and consistent methodological infrastructure in the PROHES project.
