Sažetak
The inhibiting effects of lyophilised culture filtrates (LF) and extract of Lentinula edodes (Berk) Pegler mycelia (ME) and fruit body (FE) on aflatoxins biosynthesis by Aspergillus parasiticus Speare are described. The inhibition was strain-related and there were no significant differences in inhibition effects between LF, ME and FE of the same strain. Purification steps has demonstrated that the inhibiting effect on aflatoxins biosynthesis was most evident when ethanol precipitated fractions (EP), rich in polysaccharides, was used. Furthermore the inhibiting effect was correlated to the concentration of beta glucans in EP (r2=0.89).
