Sažetak
Urban areas are facing increase in motorisation level causing traffic congestions. This results in disturbance of public transportation services causing lower speeds and reduced demand. This makes public transport less attractive. To change this sequence of events different strategies can be applied (lines reserved for public transportation or application of public transport priority etc.). Modelling of urban traffic systems plays an important role allowing different scenarios simulations to be applied. Paper presents joined research between Department of civil engineering, University of Pisa and Faculty of transport and traffic sciences at University of Zagreb dealing with urban transport modelling, scenarios development and their simulations.
