Sažetak
The reversible inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) was measured against acetylthiocholine as substrate with: 1 phenacyl-2-methylpyridinium chloride, 1-benzoylethylpyridinium chloride and 1-benzoylethylpyridinium-4-aldoxime chloride. The enzyme/inhibitor dissociation constants for binding the inhibitor to the catalytic and/or allosteric binding sites on the enzyme were evaluated and the binding affinity of the compounds compared to their protective effect in AChE inhibition by soman and VX.
