Sažetak
The paper is an overview of the theories of class advanced during the existence of the socialist Yugoslavia and their contribution to the anomic situation that followed in the postsocialist period regarding the issues of class and class identification. The conclusion is that the specificity of the socialist definitions of class prevents a simple comparison of class conceptions found in the postsocialist and contemporary Western capitalists societies.
