Sažetak
The study investigates speech timing patterrns in alaryngeal speekers compared to normal ones. The general objective is to determine the influence of alaryngeal airstream and voice production on the segment duration, tempo and voice onset time. A PC-based spectrograph program was used to measure duration variables from tape recorded speech samples. The esophaegal, trachoesophaegal and normal subjects (three of each in a group) were examined, The results show that trachoesophaegal subjects display speech temporal patterns similar to normal subjects.
