Sažetak
Forty-three representative pottery samples, dating from the Hellenistic period, were chosen, with an assumption of their provenance according to stylistic analysis, from the Eastern necropolis of Issa, a Greek settlement on the East Adriatic. Using an archaeometric approach, it is our aim to define the pottery’s composition, manufacture technology and provenance. This preliminary presenatation reports on the results of XRD mineralogy of selected potsherds, as well as on their textural and microtextural characteristics revealed by optical microscopy and SEM/EDX investigations.
