Sažetak
A female patient, age 42, was presented with a CT scan revealing large meningeoma of the right ventricle in temporobasal region. She had mild hemiparesis and suffered from depressive disorder. The resection of the tumor went uneventfully and after a CT scan which revealed (what was meant at the time) total removal of the tumor, the patient was discharged without neurological deficits. CT scans were performed on a twelve month bases and in the second postoperative year CT showed tumor recurrence, but was commented by junior radiologist as normal. Since the patient had no clinical signs of tumor recurrence she was not referred to a neurosurgeon. One year later she became depressive and suffered again from left hemiparesis and CT scan was performed which revealed again a large tumor. Preoperatively MRI was performed. On coronal slices slightly apart from the bulk of meningeoma a small round mass could be seen, which was meant to be an extension of the meningeoma. Intraoperativelly, when the bulk of meningeoma was resected and the walls of the ventricle and chorioid plexus explored before closure, a small "pearl" was noticed and after dissection a small tumor of typical appearance of chorioid plexus papilloma was found and resected. Both findings were patohystologically confirmed. Postoperative course went uneventfully and the patient is followed by clinical examinations and CT scans which showed no tumor recurrence until present time.
