Sažetak
ICOGRADA (International Council of the Graphic Design Associations) defines design as "intellectual, technical and creative activity concerned with analysis, organisation and methods of presentation of visual communication problems. Information and communication are the basis of world-wide interdipendent living". Therefore designer's task is to "provide the right answer to visual communication problems of every kind and in every sector of society". Contemporary communication system development as a result of technology, especially electronic and information science has created conditions for the development of new disciplines of the visual communication design. Interactive communication, models of information organisation and it's perception, their characteristics, tools and processes of design within the interactive media, despite of the usage of equal or very similar elements such as picture, typography and layout are perceived in a different way then in printing. Technological and interactive media development is highly influential to the almost daily growth of complexity of the designer's tasks. Therefore interdisciplinary approach is highly recommended in providing the right answer to visual communication problems. One of the basic characteristics of the interactive media is their ability to convergence. Interdisciplinary research about organisational principles, methodologies and perception of all visual communication elements through different media becomes neccessary in order to enable correct design solutions.
