Sažetak
The paper presents investigations of acceptable ratings on telescopic shafts with paired Cardan joints. The shafts, produced by several reputable manufacturers, are used for transmission of moments and power on railway and other types of vehicles. Shock absorption of dynamic torsion loads is provided by elastic rubber elements placed between the external pipe and internal splined joint. The results of measurements are shown in tabular form for measuring values while diagrams present static torsion moments and the angle of deflection. The examination results show that elastic rubber shock-absorbers with vulcanised layers are many times more reliable for transmission of moments than nominal ones, whereas pressed shock-absorbers fail at loads lower than nominal.
