Sažetak
Multiannual activities in the implementation of UNESCO’s Convention (2003) is discussed according to experiences gathered in the Commission for Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) within the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Croatia. These experiences on the national level are supplemented through work in UNESCO’s expert meetings, membership in the Intergovernmental Committee of the Convention, its Bureau, and in several workshops for capacity building. The main goals of the Convention, development of the positions and notions within UNESCO, and questions raised through the application and problems in implementation are also discussed. The aim is to show different perspectives and visions of the participants in the process of implementation with very concrete examples, choice of the Croatian Commission for ICH, and the success of inscription on the Representative List of the Convention. Different possibilities offered by the Convention are discussed as well, with accent on multinational nominations and the need of joint agreements and common appearance.
