Sažetak
This paper examines the possibilities to speed up the transition process in the Croatian economy. The complex of transition problems and the small domestic market are treated as specific problems of insufficient/inadequate resources and limiting factor of expansion, which implies the generic need for the national economy opens to development impulses coming from the world economy. Therefore, the internationalisation is inevitable for all small transitional countries. As globalization tend to create reserved markets of some kind those remaining outside these globally integrated systems will find it increasingly difficult to force their way into the global market. With regard to that we propose two generic internationalisation strategies to integrate into the world economy.
