Sažetak
Coolants and lubricants are implemented into the industry production to improve characteristics of the tribological processes that are always present on the contact surfaces of tool and workpiece during machining. Use of these resources increases productivity, improves the surface quality, decrease costs and consequently increases the total profit. In this paper, samples of emulsions from three different companies were collected and two different tests were conducted. The first test is performed with measuring strips and measured the concentration of nitrates, nitrites, water hardness and pH. In the second test with refractometer the emulsion concentrates, emulsions index and temperature of the emulsion were measured. Maximum values of nitrates, nitrites, concentration of emulsion, pHs are shown in this paper. Measuring data that exceed the limit values are additionally observed and recommendations are given.
