Sažetak
The authors have documented explain why it is necessary to remove metallic foreign bodies from the paranasal sinuses. Preferred method is removing via functional endoscopic sinus surgery. It was first shown a possible mutual bond of chronic changes in the sinus mucosa in contact with a foreign body. Moreover, it is assumed that it comms to these changes most likely due to chronic incentive mechanisms (theory of chronic local irritation). Finally, the authors showed another possible use for FESS approach in dealing with the pathology of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
