Sažetak
The value and manifold uses of wood are so obvious that it is often easy to forget how wood and its products can be injurious to health. These problems were poorly studied in our country, so this article is mainly survey of learning of foreign experts and scientists. Considering large variety of imported exotic wood species in the market and processing in our country, we would like to draw the attention to precaution and due respect when being in contact with some of it. In the article there are tables and lists of botanical families with species that contain injurious substances, and their effects on human health.
