Sažetak
Today, the tourist traffic in Croatia is half of what it used to be in prewar times. A return to the increasingly demanding markets of European Union countries is especially difficult and slow. The reasons for this crisis are manifold: the absence of investment in supply, the devastations of war, extensive business losses, huge fiscal burdens, etc. Solutions should be sought in clear visionary and developmental strategies, in the final privatization of the tourism sector, in the inclusion with global horizontal and vertical integrations, in the development of a concept for destination differentiality, in selective tourism and improved quality, or in the acceptance of ťvalue for moneyŤ.
