Sažetak
In order to manage business result better in a hotel, it is necessary for management to use information technology. Respectively, besides correct application of human, material and financial resources, the business efficiency depends on the correct use of information technologies. Information technologies cause big cultural changes in every organization, and in a hospitality organization, on the level of an individual, as well as on the level of the entire organization and all of its segments. Thereby, communication between the employees, which is supported by information technologies, removes complex hierarchical organization structures, which brings to faster and democratic decision-making, brought by the strengthened teams and individuals, relying on the current information flow in every corner of an organization. One of the key problems of application of information technology in a hotel is permanent education of personnel. All employees need to be included in the process of permanent education for the application of information technologies, regardless of whether they are in direct contact with the guests, or not. Regardless of faster and faster development of top information technology, it is necessary to have in mind that none of the hotel enterprises will not be able to achieve quality development unless it runs systematic care about the quality of management on all levels. The existing management structures don ´t have to be changed necessarily, but they need to be adapted to the new conditions, new way of business in the conditions of application of information technology. They need to be encouraged to take responsibility for their business, to take initiative and to vouch for the work they have done. This can be achieved through conducting education of hotel management for a more regular application of contemporary information technology. Information technologies encourage hotel management on changing the basic concepts about their work and the work of their organizations, and at the same time enable them conducting of those changes. Changes are not brought necessarily by the technology itself, but that same technology effects the basic trends that change the organization.
