Sažetak
Surveys of the aquatic macrophytes in the Danube catchment area in Croatia, which were carried out in the period 2009-2010, are presented. First survey area comprise Podravina region, situated along the Drava River. Macrophytes were recorded as a part of the hydrobiological assessment of the fishing waters in the surroundings of Koprivnica, Đurđevac and Virovitica, intended for the recreational and sport fishing. Main types of water bodies are lakes originated from the abandoned gravel pits and old oxbows. Plant species of conservation value, like Hottonia palustris and Hippuris vulgaris were recorded. Another rare plant species, Stratiotes alloides, was found on new locality in Baranja in summer 2009. Second survey area is within Nature Park „Kopački rit“. Public institution „Nature Park Kopački rit“ developed Action plan for the conservation of the aquatic and wetland habitats, with aim to obtain new data on their presence and distribution, in order to enable their stability. The inventarisation of aquatic and wetland habitats is carrying out in the perod May-October 2010, comprising large channels, lakes, Danube side arms, oxbows, wet meadows, fishponds, marshes and artificial channels. The results will contribute to better knowledge of the flora of Kopački rit.
