Sažetak
In an area of the Danube River in Osijek- Baranja County, two state-owned (24, 345 ha surface), and four joint open hunting grounds (12, 139 ha surface) have been established for breeding, protection and game hunting. Flood dynamics as well as the local geomorphologic conditions induce the richness of flora and fauna. Still-waters overgrown by reed and sedges are suitable sites for the waterfowls dwelling, while the land habitats are exceptionally favorable for the hunting management with deer and booar. Comparison of the hunting grounds concerning the land surface, habitat distribution and game population is made. The results of the habitat quality assessment for domicile gaem stocks of selected furred and winged game are also reported.
