Sažetak
Interest in developing humans has always been widespread largely because of curiosity about the subject and a desire to improve the quality of human life. Modern facts about embryology started to emerge in the middle of 17th century and many of them were only discovered in the second half of the 20th century. In the Holy Qur'an, creation is generally dealt with in a holistic approach. The union of a pair of gametes ; i.e. two »nutfahs«, a male gamete (sperm) and female gamete (ovum) forms the human being. Both the gametes and the zygote are virtually »a nutfah amshaj«, i.e. a droplet or pearl that contains a group of unique recombinants »amshaj«, begin 23 in the former and 46 in the latter. Each human being is virtually the unique end-result of repetitive mixing of genetic matter up to Adam and Eve. Allah has created man in a form capable of autonomous reproduction through the life cycle and all today known embryology can be explained in quotation in the Holy Qur'an.
