Sažetak
This paper analyses the so-called behavioural culture as reflected on two features of EFL classroom talk: learners' answers to yes/no questions and linking signals in learner talk. By the analysis of these features we want to discover the extent to which the behavioural culture, of either the target language or mother tongue, and culture specific expectations of the classroom and the teaching method influence the form of the speech produced by the learners.
