Sažetak
Bosniaks in Ljutoč valley, Bosnia, are population of indigenous inhabitants, mainly muslims. They were victims of genocide and ethnic cleansing over last two centuries. Those crimes were comited by komite and chetniks – members of bosnian orthodox paramilitary forces, which were during the time openly or covertly supported by oficial Serbia. Most teryfiing of all crimes comitted by Serbs was mass murder in september 1941. at the begening of war when about 3 000 inhabitants of Ljutoč vally were slaughtered by serbian paramilitary forces. Historical documents are rare or non-existing so memory on this terrible event was mainly preserved in colective oral memory. Author is trying to reconstruct those events and research existing memory of tragic events. During turbulent history in last five centuries, population of valley survived many tragic and epic events. So mass slaughter in 1941.was just one of them, the biggest in scale. It was folloved by mass destruction of graves and mosques as basic elements of identity of local popuulation. It is difficult to find photographs or any kind of written memory of such events and reconstruction can be made almost entirely from oral rememberance and memory. Of survivors and their descendants. It become part of local heritage and revitalising part of politics of memory.
