Sažetak
This paper presents some aspects of education devoted to development of the sense of heritage. Science and art repeatedly meet at the common task of preservation of the entire heritage:natural as well as cultural. Therfore, the education process should raise the awareness of the special roles of science and art in creating a sensible/subtle relation to the heritage. Making sense of heritage implies development of understanding of the importance of heritage as the memory of duration and existence. Also, attention should be given to the messages that artifacts from the past bring into the future. Developing a sense for heritage, we create better conditions for a more humane life and creative work. Namely, learning to respect one"s own heritage and appreciate the heritage of others creates conditions for better understanding among peoples.
