Sažetak
The experiments where ERA-Interim is downscaled with two different horizontal resolutions (50 and 25-km) of the RegCM4 regional model are analysed in terms of frequency and duration of extreme temperature parameters. The focus of the study is the Croatian area for the period January 1989 – December 2008. The maximum daily temperature and the number of days exceeding the given threshold values in Croatia are analysed. The results are verified by observed data from the Croatian meteorological stations.
