Sažetak
Abstract: In this paper 30 patients with tumors of the kidney were analysed towards in the investigation of possibilities of the rationalization of renal tumor diagnosis. The patients were examined by intravenous urography, Doppler ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and angiography. Based on statistical ROC analysis programme (Receiving Operating Charactheristic), the diagnostic value of individual techicques was assessed. Angiography has been found to be the most precise method (100 per cent), followed by, in descending order, CT (98 per cent), color Doppler (97 per cent), ultrasonography (92 per cent) and infusion urography (72 per cent). Because of its high sensitivity and virtually no contradictions, color Doppler has been well established as a valuable tool in the diagnosis of tumors of the kidney.
This study indicates the need for inclusion of a larger number of patients into inestigation in order to detrmine the precise role of color Doppler in the routine diagnosis of renal tumors.
