Sažetak
Morphometric differences of three existing ecotypes: subalpin, pannonian and medditeranean of autohtonous Carniolan bee (A.m. carnica) in Croatia was investigated. Honeybee population in coastal and island region is the least known. Morphometric measurements were done on wings and legs of 630 worker bees. Width, length, and surface of fore wing, length and surface of femur, tibia and metatarsus, as well as width of tibia and metatarsus of hind leg were measured. Measured values are the biggest for mediterranean ecotype concerning length and width of measured segments of leg, while subalpin ecotype had the smallest. Length and surface of wings were the least in mediterranean ecotype. Measured values were analysed by Factor analysis to determine possible groupings of ecotypes. Cluster analysis was used to present distances between ecotypes. Considerable distance of bees from Mediterranean region is present in comparison with bees from Pannonian and Subalpin region, where distance was not expressed.
