Sažetak
Clinical decision represents a very complex process and a modern laboratory with its equipment contributes a lot to its acomplishment. In an emergency laboratory that covers needs of intern, pediatric, neurologic, urologic and surgical clinic sophisticated computer programs as expert systems are developed. They enable clinical decision making on grounds of the results of laboratory analyses. In this program the results of five areas (electrolytes, metabolytes, enzymes, hematological parameters and parameters of acid base balace) are combined in a way that their absolute values in certain time and their ratio enable diagnosis of different emergency conditions caused by heart, liver or kidney damage or conditions related to glucosis metabolism disorder.
