Sažetak
Antidepresants seems to be most efficient drugs in pharmacotherapy of PTSD. They had the best effects in decreasing level of anxiety, level of arousal and sleep regulation, but their efficasy was limited by their sideefects. Some recent studies pointed SSRI antidepresants as the first choice in the treatment of PTSD. Tianeptine is antidepresant with opposite mehanism of functioning, with strong anxiolitic effect and with les sideeffects. That was our reason to include tianeptine in the treatment of PTSD and to compare his effects with those of other antidepresant. 44 patients, war veterans suffering from PTSD were included in study. 22 of them had tianeptine, and 22 had fluoxetine in therapy during 5 months. All of them were included in group psychotherapy as well. By using Harvard trauma questionare, BDI, STAI, Sleep questionare and List of drug use and sideefects, we wanted to find out efects of different antidepresants on PTSD symptoms after 5 months of therapy. Results shoved no significant differences in the two antidepresants in decrease of symptoms and level of anxiety, but there was differences in need for additional anxiolitics and hypnotics in favor of tianeptine.
