Sažetak
The paper deals with the notion of the standardization of learning outcomes and the influence that the process has on foreign language teaching. Students’ mobility is one of the reasons why the knowledge of a foreign language gains in importance. The focus of using the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and the European Language Portfolio (ELP) is presented on an example of a tertiary institution in Croatia, with an emphasis on the benefits these learning outcomes could have for both the students and the teacher.
