The daily number of smoked cigarettes and the daily number of consumed cups of coffee and their connection were also analysed. Results are presented at tables with apsolute and sporadic relative values. Results: Twenty schizophrenic patients (F20-F29 towards ICD-10 ; m-11, f-9) and 19 depressed patients (F30-F39 towards ICD-10 ; m-12, f-7) were controlled during Mart 2007. The main of them were old between 40 and 50 years : schizophrenic-50% and depressed-47%. The average of the first year/age treatment of the schizopfrenic was 30 i.e. 45 in the group of analysed depressed patients. The lenghty of treatment of schizophrenic patients was 17 years i.e. 7 in the group of analysed depressed patients. The half of analysed schizophrenic patients and some more of half analysed depressed patiens didn't smoke but more than one third smoked more than 20 cigarettes daily. One third of schizophrenic and depressed patients consumed more than two cups of coffee daily. Schizophrenics (more than half of them) more than depressed consumed more than two cups of coffee daily. The half of schizophrenic and some less of the half depressed patients smoked nicotine and consumed caffeine daily. Both of them consumed coffee without nicotine equally but only one person (a depressed patient) smoked nicotine without consumed caffeine. The depressed patients more inclined to non-consuming coffee and non -smoking nicotine cgarettes than schizophrenic patients. Discussion: Schizophrenic patients would incline to nicotine and caffeine more than depressed patients because the possibble permanent psychotic anxiety which they would reduce with nicotine and caffeine or the possible anxiety of the side-effects of antipsychotic long duration which they would try reducing with nicotine and caffeine. Conclusions: One half of schizophrenic patients and some more than half of depressed patients didn't smoke nicotine cigarettes but one third both of them consumed two cups of coffee daily.
