Sažetak
The state of research and selected problems of the archaeology of the Croatian part of the Roman province of Pannonia are discussed through following subject matters: literary sources from the 2nd to the end of the 6th century AD, identity perceptions from the late Iron Age to Later Antiquity, the archaeological background to the formation of Roman-period ethnic identities, indigenous anthroponimy, the Roman army, urbanism and architecture, construction materials and techniques, building munificences of the Severans in Pannonian towns, rural settlements, cemeteries, coin circulation from the 3rd c. BC to AD 423, and early Medieval Barbarian elements in late Roman southern Pannonia.
