Sažetak
This paper deals with the cross-linguistic analysis of the lexical item "soul" in English, "duša" in Croatian and "Seele" in German. An analysis is carried out based on example sentences taken from various dictionaries and a conclusion is reached based on the differences in contexts in different languages. Aspects which are analyzed are the core meanings, the meaning in slang and music and the etymology in all three languages.
