Sažetak
The presen study describes the creation of a teacher-traininig programme. The programme was intended to increase the acceptance of students with intellectual disabilities who were being integrated into regular primary school. The positive attitude of teachers is one of the crucial prerequsites of sucessfull inclusion. The attitude of the teachers themselves, as well as some of the determinants of this wiew points (e.g. personality traits, perceived personal competence of the teachers role and attitude toward teaching) were optained in the inicial phase of the study from several samples of regular primary school teachers in the Republic of Croatia. The results of the inicial phase of the study influence the construction of the programme, and methods and content aimed at cognitive, emotional and motivational attitude components were included. The evaluacion results show that the programme influence the improvement of the teachers' attitudes and the increase in the level of social adaptation of their students, and indicate some of the factors which influence this changes. The programme has been proposed to the Croatian Ministry of education for the experimental use so that more detailed and long-term effects can be observed.
