Sažetak
The paper deals with a comedy-drama film „What is a man without a Moustache? “directed in 2005 after the novel (2000) by a Croatian journalist and writer Ante Tomic. Both novel and film were a success and the film was screened abroad. The aim of the paper is to analyse different approaches (in the novel and on the film) to the main character through his vacillations and searching for his real identity in the background of a rural countryside still recovering from the Croatian War of Independence.
