Sažetak
The authoress an important dimension of the philosophical opus of Frane Petrić/Franciscus Patricius, a Croatian Renaissance thinker (Cres, 1529 - Rome, 1597), expressed through a narrative, metaliterary procedure. Returning to the original structure of mythical discourse, Patricius uses the logical of myth as his hermeneutic-exegetic tools. In a rational, deductive way, Patricius deconstructs, transforms, modifies Classical myth sistems and adds new meanings to it, building his own novel myth scheme. The authoress bases her analysis on several examples from Patricius, model of narration (Fame, Prometheus, etc.). The authores concludes that Patricius uses myth as arguments in favor of his Renaissance-Neoplatonically marked philosophical theses concerning cosmology, anthropology, epistemology, time and history, knowledge, truth, language etc., and in his attempt at constructing a novel history, rhetoric, poetics, and, above all philosophy itself.
