Sažetak
Global development of clothing technology is closely associated with an extremely high rate of application of scientific and technical news beneficial to garment manufacture. Occasionally, and most often quite unexpectedly, series of knitted fabric of unsatisfactory quality are produced, such that result in loop distortions and damages at knitted fabric seams, primarily due to poor sewability. Determining sewing needle penetration force and loop damages asks for a comprehensive investigation and analysis of the parameters which, individually or together, influence the quality of knitwear manufacture. Implementing a contemporary measuring system and newly developed measuring method on samples of characteristic cotton knitted fabric, investigations were done, which contribute significantly to further analysis of the key parameters on knitted garment manufacturing quality.
