Sažetak
Slippage in the stitched seam has a direct impact on the quality of the garment, and applies to a change in the spacing between individual warp or weft threads in the seam area which occurs after prolonged load action on the fabric. The allowed space between the warp threads or weft threads covered by the seam and the first adjacent thread outside the seam is arbitrary and depends on the use of fabric or customer's request. The influence of fabric parameters such as weave and fabric density on the slippage of warp and weft threads in the area of the stitched seam, at different fabric loads and load duration, different needle sizes and sewing thread fineness and stitch density was investigated. The obtained results clearly show that fabric parameters, such as fabric weave and density, affect thread slippage in the seam. A number of crossings of warp and weft threads from the front side to the back side of the fabric in the weave unit, and a greater warp and weft density in the fabric show less slippage in the stitched seam. Thread fineness and needle size as well as stitch length greatly affect thread slilppage in the fabric. The effect of load in the fabric seam on thread slippage was investigated. The relationship of individual parameters shown by a linear correlation shows a very strong correlation with a high degree of correlation.
