Sažetak
The aim of this report is to give a short theoretical description of topics related to (3D) information visualization and, mainly, to describe application that generates a VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) representation of geographical hierarchical structure. General theory concerning specifying location (position), with emphasis on geocentric and geodetic coordinate definitions, has been given in the first part. General problems of information visualization involving representing information as hierarchical structures, and the Cone Tree displaying method, as one of the possible solutions, have shortly been discussed in the second part. The third part gives a short overview of different libraries that were used during application implementation. The application itself is discussed in the last part, mainly emphasizing the idea and explaining its structure and some of its logical concepts.
