Sažetak
An overview of existing ramp metering strategies, from early simple approaches to the recent more sophisticated control designs and strategies, is given in the paper. This study provides an approach to the ramp metering development based on the new hybrid intelligent control approach. The research is focused on the implementation possibilities of the aforementioned ramp metering system on the section of the Zagreb bypass, in order to improve the LOS (Level of Service) and traffic safety.
