Sažetak
Determining of the required transport system functions to meet a specific mission objective represents the process of developing system specification. The dependability of the transport system infers that the system has the ability to provide service upon demand as desirable performance attributes. Such performance attributes can be achieved through incorporation of dependability in the system functions. The development of the transport system dependability specification consists in determining dependability requirements for each relevant system function from dependability perspective. The specification provides a set of key dependability functions and related characteristics of the system design. This specification requires detailed information on the way the system operates during entire mission at the stage of system conception and definition. This is essential for the rationalization of relevant dependability characteristics for design trade-off and system optimization
