Sažetak
Natural zeolites are hydrated aluminosilicates with unique cation exchange capacity. Due to their catalytic properties, natural zeolites are often used in medicine, agriculture, and water purification. However, these materials have recently gained increased interest for advanced textile applications. Actually it is though that these materials can be used as additives contributing to the development of innovative multifunctional protection finishings. The present study focuses on the investigation of natural zeolites activity when applied in pretreated cellulosic substrates. The structural modifications of zeolite-treated materials, as reflected in their mechanical properties, are evaluated according to international standards methods. The pretreatment effect is also taken under consideration.
