Sažetak
E-health is integral health care system. This system should integrate several different business areas like health care, pharmacy and drugs distribution, social service and government area. The core of this system is to obtain full health related services and create unified database driven application. In transition countries such initiative is still in development and therefore needs systematical approach. This paper presents an approach on how to implement ehe@ lth in medical institutions. Current ICT structure in these institutions is made of several, badly networked work stations without any or in best cases some rudimentary medical application. In its final stage, E-he@lth will become full network distributed application allowing its users to gain data and information not only inside their medical organization but also to provide data to and from other ehe@ lth organizational systems. Developing of such system could dramatically increase use of IKT in medical institutions, save time and instantly produce visible results. e-he@lth is a part of ICT politics plan in almost any development country, including Bosnia and Herzegovina (Policy for development of the Information Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina), but its integration is always on back of the priorities list. It is possible to implement this system at relatively small costs.
